PHOTO TO COME
Ingredients
2 Bottles
Chili Sauce
10 oz
Grape Jelly
3 lb
Ground Beef or Costco Frozen Meatballs
Instructions
Make homemade meatballs (recipe follows) or use frozen store
bought.
Place chili sauce and jelly in a small pan; stir together
ensure jelly is melted and blended well.
Put meatballs in a crock pot. Pour sauce over meatballs and stir
occasionally. Low for 2 ½ hours.
Mom’s Favorite meatballs:
2 lbs. hamburger
1 cup milk
1 cup saltine crackers, crushed (or 1 c. Italian seasoned bread
crumbs) *I added them to the milk to soak up the moisture- I’ve heard on the
food network it makes the meatballs more tender.)
1 Tbsp. onions, grated
1 ½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Instructions
Mix ground beef, milk, crackers, onion, salt and pepper in a bowl. Don’t over
mix or it will result in a tougher meatball. Form into round balls. Place on a
greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. At 5 minutes roll
the meatballs around for even cooking.
